After establishing Habitat Consultation interest through our online contact, the process begins. The first step is capturing current conditions and any history that provides direction for improvements. Think through outcome(s) you are looking for.
It is recommended that you use the OnX App to capture current conditions, such as tree stand locations, food plots, access, etc.
The more information provided prior to the site visit will help us better pinpoint issues and aid in the property design once on site.
The day starts with breakfast and/or coffee with property owner(s) and others that may be hunting the property. We want to customize the design for YOU and understand your goals.
This conversation builds upon the information provided pre-visit. We will talk about your Land Anatomy and the uniqueness of every property. Many fundamental principles will be discussed, but you will not hear “Always” or “Never”.
We will focus on your goals and gain an understanding of available resources to accomplish recommendations. Time, money, and equipment will all be factors influencing your habitat design.
My favorite part of the process is walking your land! We will spend time exploring and learning about your land anatomy as we walk.
Your property design will begin to come into focus as we talk through hunter access, food plots, stand locations, travel routes, bedding and overall land management.
We may use a drone to capture aerial visuals of your property to aid in the habitat design. Ask about our drone videos as an add-on for you to keep and reference.
After collecting information from our property walk, we will capture all designs on a visual map using OnX. Once completed, you will have a copy for reference and to edit as you make additional improvements/updates over time.
At the conclusion of our visit, you should have solid vision of what your property and hunting experiences could become. It takes much less time than you think for the improvements to make a significant impact on your hunting experience.
Keep us updated on your habitat process and please share your hunting success!
